NATIONAL SELF-KNOWLEDGE IS A GUARANTEE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF UNITY AND STABILITY OF THE SOCIETY

The article analyzes national self-knowledge and its role in strengthening political stability and national unity. The concepts of "national unity", "self-knowledge" and "national self-knowledge" are considered from a historical and philosophical point of view and their interpretation is offered from the standpoint of the newest era.The initiatives undertaken by the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan during the years of independence are assessed as beneficial in the development of cultural policy, and at the same time the need to revive the historical memory of the nation is emphasized.Respect for history and culture, native language and good traditions of the past is declared. The historical experience of Tajikistan during the civil war of the 90s of the last century is mentioned, the main reason for the emergence of political instability is called the departure from identity, national self-awareness, alienation from them.In order to reduce the impact of the unpleasant consequences of the globalization process and prevent the risk of the impact of other phenomena, including terrorism and extremism, on security, political stability and national unity, the need to adopt and implement a number of effective measures that have practical and theoretical significance is proposed.
