The article dwells on the problems of Sughd viloyat food market formation and development. The authors have conducted the analysis of statistical data in regard to agricultural produce and shown the dynamics of food stuffs sale. They determined potential ways of a solution of the problems by dint of creating a food cluster in regional economy. Objectives‚ goals and potentialities of food sector clusterization are formulated‚ branches and outfits producing and trading off food stuffs inclusive. Such approach will afford to more effectively use the available productive potential of the branches connected with food market; it will provide an accretion of productive capacities and regional resources for investing into prospective enterprises; it will allow to solve at a regional level such microeconomy goals as population`s incomes increase‚ growth of employment and other ones which promote a rise of material welfare of Sughd viloyat residents; all the assertions being well-grounded.
