The article dwells on the importance of small enterprises for a provision of market balance between demand and supply. Small enterprises quickly react to market conjuncture changes, create prerequisites for a development of real economic conjuncture and compel enterprisers to instill the achievements of scientific-technical progress and to operatively rearrange manufacturing. The data on small enterprise development are adduced. A formation of market is impossible without the development of enterprising activities which function exclusively on the basis of market interests. The author remarks that namely at small enterprises businessmen gain the experience of professional skills; she divides small enterprises into categories.
