This article provides an overview of scientific publications that elucidate the problem of studying the reproduction and formation of human resources. Reviewed scientific articles published in the last five years, highlight the research results obtained by the authors in the study of the categories of "human capital", "human resources", "human potential", "the reproduction of human resources." The problems of development of vocational education, quality of life, changes in the socio-demographic situation, the study of social and labor relations, the transformation of social labor and the role of human factors and human capital management are taken into consideration. Actualizing the state of the problem, the author forms the areas of scientific research on the subject. Studying human resources she proposes recommendations on their formation and management in Russia for undergraduates, post-graduants,magistrate and doctoral students.
